What happens when I send funds to the wrong network?

For EVM-compatible networks (Ethereum, BSC, Polygon):

BVNK has automatic processing capability for cross-chain deposits between Ethereum, BSC, and Polygon. This is because the same EVM wallet address is used. This means if you request USDC on Ethereum but pay on USDC on BSC (or vice versa), your transaction will be processed automatically without manual intervention.

BVNK can also process payments when the incorrect asset is deposited on the correct chain. For example, you request a payment in USDT (ETH), and the payment is made using USDC(ETH) or USDC(BSC). BVNK will automatically exchange the assets to improve the payment and customer experience. As a BVNK customer you will still receive your settlement.

For TRX network

Stablecoin payments in TRC20 that are made to a TRX address will also process.

For all other networks:

Funds sent to incompatible networks (e.g., USDC sent via networks other than Ethereum, BSC, or Polygon) will be lost and cannot be recovered.

Funds sent on incorrect chains such as ETH to BTC will also be lost and cannot be recovered.

BVNK has added warnings across the platform to help avoid cases of lost tokens when using non-compatible networks.
