SOC 2 Type II
BVNK has achieved SOC 2 Type II, the gold standard for security compliance in the United States. This attestation report demonstrates our commitment to maintaining robust security controls for our payments infrastructure.
SOC 2 Type II is a widely recognized security framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It evaluates the effectiveness of an organization's security controls over an extended period, rather than at a single point in time.
To achieve this, BVNK underwent a rigorous independent audit that assessed our security practices across multiple areas including:
- Access controls
- System operations
- Change management
- Risk management
- Vendor management
- Data protection
Unlike other security assessments that provide a snapshot of controls at a specific moment, SOC 2 Type II evaluates how effectively these controls operate continuously over time. Our initial assessment period was three months, demonstrating consistent application of our security measures under real-world conditions.
BVNK chose to pursue SOC 2 Type II certification directly, bypassing the less demanding Type I assessment. This reflects our commitment to implementing comprehensive security standards from the outset.
SOC 2 Type II complements our existing ISO 27001:2022 accreditation. While ISO 27001 provides a point-in-time verification of our security controls, SOC 2 Type II offers continuous validation over time, creating a comprehensive security framework for our global operations.
For our customers, particularly those in the United States, this attestation simplifies vendor risk assessments and provides assurance that BVNK maintains enterprise-grade security controls that protect your data and transactions.
Our investment in security is ongoing. BVNK is committed to regular independent audits to ensure we continue to meet these high standards in information security.
